Keep your eyes Bieled

Regularly voted one of the world’s sexiest women, Jessica Biel looks like she was keen to maintain the status quo in Powder Blue, released on DVD on 25 January.

Biel plays a “an overwhelmed exotic dancer” alongside an all-star cast that includes Forest Whitaker, Ray Liotta, Lisa Kudrow, Kris Kristofferson, Eddie Redmayne and the late Patrick Swayze (who plays a seedy club owner with an uncanny resemblance to Shirley Carter from Eastenders).

The film, we’re told, is “set on the gritty streets of LA” and almost every character appears to “teetering on the edge of despair”, though, to be fair, Eddie Redmayne doesn’t look too disappointed in this rather raunchy clip. As Powder Blue’s strapline says, “Hope is found in the darkest places”. Quite.
