When we interviewed Mark Ronson for last year’s October issue, he mentioned an ongoing obsession with “these brilliant old analogue synths that Nick Rhodes uses”. Sure enough, with this track “Circuit Breaker”, the brass has been banished in favour of heavy retro-electro and a nice synthy hook. Could it be at hint of the direction his forthcoming album Record Breaker? Either way, we like. We also approve of the video — a nod to early Zelda, although now with added flatcap and  bongo-playing warthogs.
