Gadget doctor – the stereo all-rounder

R4i

On this blog, we often write about the music that soundtracks our work here in the Esquire office on a day-to-day basis. Today however, we turn our attentions toward the source of that music and, as of late, it has been the duty of the incredibly room-filling speakers of the Vita Audio R4i.

It ticks three important boxes. With radio tuner (handling FM, DAB and higher definition DAB+ broadcasts), multi-format CD player, iPod dock, to USB playback port (supporting MP3 and WMA files) – it covers every aural eventuality we’ve come across. With the help of an integrated active subwoofer, it is capable of blasting those options at 80 watts of crystal-clear, 3D-enhanced stereo sound. And third, it looks nice.
