Smart Buy – Norse Projects romain shirt

The upside of a company that focuses on the basics is that they can fix any hiccups. And that’s just what Norse Projects have done with their ‘Romain’ shirt (End, £99), an update of a shirt they made a season earlier. The shirt they made before hit on all marks, getting everything from the sizing to the shade of green – a very Miles Davis on the cover of Milestones shade of green – exactly right. There was just one problem, the collar was a tad too small. And, being detail fanatics that we are, that made all the difference. Now Norse has rectified the matter by releasing this shirt in a similar shade with one difference, an enlarged collar. Unfortunately, it won’t be enough to make you look as cool as Miles Davis did on that cover.

Beyonce and Jay-Z’s comic caper

Beyonce and Jay-Z’s comic caper

rCube goes white

When the rCube thundered onto the iPod dock scene at the end of last year, Arcam claimed it was the “best dock ever”. Mighty high words, indeed, but the critics all had to agree. It walked off with What Hi-Fi’s dock of the year accolade, besting competition from the likes of B&W.  [Read more...]

Smart Buy – LVC Sweatshirt

With the weather as temperamental as it is now, it’s smart to be prepared. We don’t mean packing emergency supplies, just an extra layer of clothing stashed in your bag. Like most extra layers, the trick is to choose something that will suit nearly everything you’ll be wearing. A piece like this Levi’s Vintage Clothing sweatshirt (My-Wardrobe, £105) will ensure that you’ll able to keep warm and stylish as the temperature cools down. And, if you think carrying a sweatshirt is too much hassle, then think of all the times you’ve been shivering outside on a chilly June evening.
