Ideally we'd all have a nice clear hour every day to dedicate to the gym, but then work, life (and laziness) all tend to get in the way and we end up skipping a session, then the next one ...and, well, you get the general idea.

But no longer! As we have enlisted Esquire's fitness guru Harry Jameson to bring you three simple workouts that you can thrash out in 15 minutes or less. Meaning there really is no excuse - even if you do hit snooze 17 times every morning.

Routine One

Harry's first routine is almost disarmingly straightforward, but give it a go and you'll soon understand why it's one of his failsafes for clients looking to quickly and effectively burn fat.

All you need to do is get on a treadmill, ramp up the speed to your maximum, before sprinting for 30 seconds and then resting for 30 seconds.

Do this for a total of 15 minutes and your lungs will feel like they're on fire, even though you're actually only spending seven and a half minutes sprinting.

Routine Two

For Harry's second routine, he suggests a circuit of five bodyweight exercises that will target all of your key muscle groups.

Perform each exercise for 30 seconds and then rest for 30 seconds, repeating for three sets.

- Press-Up

- Bodyweight Squat

- Alternate Lunges

- Mountain Climbers

- Lower Body Russian Twist

Routine Three

Harry's final routine is another all body workout, but this time instead of having a rest in between each exercise, perform all five in a row - 30 seconds per exercise. Before taking a full minute's breather at the end. Repeat for five sets.

- Plank

- Directional Lunges

- Bodyweight Jump Squats

- Pull-Ups

- High Knees Sprinting In Place

Some parting words

Harry reiterates the fact that constant short workouts aren't ideal. There isn't a magic potion when it comes to your fitness, so don't think that 15 minutes a day is enough to get in fitness model shape. It's easy to build false expectations with a lot of the quick-fix fitness info out there, but supplementing your regular gym work with some of these quick routines will help you keep ticking towards your goals.
