Gaming, What we're listening to
With possibly the most anticipated game in PlayStation history finally hitting the shops in November after what seems an aeon in development and production costs of $60m and rising, it’s hardly surprising the number of Gran Turismo 5 videos online is growing exponentially. (more…)

We’re not entirely convinced by the SNES-inspired track, but the latest video from Swedish dance outfit Rymdreglage is a pixel-perfect sight to behold.
Made using nothing but Lego bricks the video for “8-bit trip” was cooked up using laborious stop-motion techniques and took a staggering 1,500 hours to complete. It’s a wonder the duo, consisting of Daniel Larsson and Tomas Redigh, had time to think about the music at all. Enjoy.

With portents of doom being broadcast from every quarter, it was refreshing (if a little leveling) to see a 19-year-old boy, his schoolgirl girlfriend and their mates headlining the Park Stage at Glastonbury last month. (more…)

Style, What we're listening to
Straight off the set of a Wes Anderson flick, husband-and-wife-duo Tennis are set to take the nostalgo-pop genre by (gentle) storm. Music, Video clips, What we're listening to
‘American Slang’ is the title track taken from the New Jersey outfit’s latest album. The video is directed by Kevin Custer, director of the band’s seven-part “Making of AMERICAN SLANG” series. So, if you like blue jeans, blue collar, Bruce-tinged American rock, then plug your headphones in and turn it up…

You can be sure that if any one of us here at Esquire HQ decided to produce a track in our bedroom, it wouldn’t be nearly as polished as this. Thankfully “Washed Out”, aka. Georgia-resident Ernest Weatherly Greene, is well versed in the art of bedroom production and his latest offering, “You and I” is a gorgeous slice of woozy synthpop. (more…)

Music, What we're listening to
Oh Pharrell, how come you can wear a furry hat and a waistcoat knitted by your nan and still look OK? No fair. We’re enjoying the general wild rumpus theme of the video and the psychedelic roller, though we’re deducting points for Nelly Furtado’s tokenistic dreamcatcher earrings.

Music, What we're listening to
Mark Ronson — in our eyes at least — can do know wrong. Take Ronson and stick him in a studio with New York rap legend Q-Tip and upcoming MIA-alike MNDR, and we’d probably like the resulting track even if it was terrible. Thankfully “Bang Bang Bang” is not terrible, and it seems that Ronson has hit the jackpot once again. (more…)
