Suicide Squad is arriving in cinemas next week, and though we've seen a lot of footage by now, we still don't know who the villain of the movie is.

preview for Suicide Squad's latest trailer comes with a soundtrack remix

Sure, Jared Leto's Joker is up to no good, but the bigger threat seems to be supernatural in nature, and if it is related to him in some way, he isn't calling it up without help.

And now it seems that Cara Delevingne's Enchantress was revealed to be the big bad in Suicide Squad's Comic-Con trailer... and nobody noticed.

The team is aimed at "the swirling ring of trash in the sky", and at the base of the column of lightning that it's circling around is a familiar-looking figure.

The two metal poles on either side clearly bear the moon symbol Enchantress wears on her head.

And before you complain that she's wearing green instead of black, the trailer also shows her in an alternate, more colourful outfit... and looking very angry indeed.

June Moone's alter ego being the threat would explain why we haven't seen any footage of Enchantress fighting alongside the other members of the Suicide Squad.

The fact that Enchantress seems to answer to Viola Davis's Amanda Waller could also tie into the hints that the team is being set up in some way by their governmental masters.

Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Jared Leto and Jai Courtney also star in the film.

Suicide Squad will be released on August 5.
