Brad Pitt has just released his a statement on his divorce from Angelina Jolie. "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids," he told People. "I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."
His comments echo Jolie's, made through her lawyer Robert Offer: "This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time."
Jolie filed for divorced this morning and is asking for physical custody of the couple's six children. The couple officially separated Sept. 15, after over a decade together and two years of marriage.
