In 2010, Alec Baldwin was cast as the spokesperson for Scrotox, a plastic surgery "derived from a botulism toxin" that "smooths and plumps the fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin of the scrotum." Spoke of it he did, promising to turn shriveled prunes into plump plums. It was also, incidentally, a fictitious product hawked on an SNL skit. But according to The Hollywood Reporter, the treatment is a real and growing trend among men.

An aesthetic genital treatment to achieve scrotal tightening and/or smoothing, also known as Scrotox, is a $1,500 (£1,230) to $3,000  (£2,460) procedure that temporarily improves the look of the scrotum and decreases sweatiness for three to six months. (Note: Scrotal attractiveness is subjective.) "It is clear that we are going to be seeing more done on men's private areas, for men wanting smoothing down there," board-certified plastic surgeon Andrew Ordon told THR, likening the trend to growing interest in vaginal rejuvenation treatment among women. Like other botulism toxin injections, Scrotox requires needle injections. So, it's like getting Botox in your face, except not quite.
