This sounds like the premise of a Saturday Night Live sketch: Tina Fey runs into Donald Trump at Adele's big New York concert. Maybe the punchline could be that they end up crying in each other's arms by the end of the show. But here's how this interaction went down in the real world, as Fey told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show last night:
"I was the biggest hypocrite ... Like 51 percent of America, I watch him on the news and I go, 'Come on, this guy,' Then I see him, and I'm face to face with him, and I'm like, 'Hi how are you?' Because we have the same baby nurse."
What do you expect? In real life people can't get into random feuds with aspiring politicians at social events. That's what we have Saturday Night Live for.
