Three years after Twitter launched Vine, the six-second video sharing platform met its untimely demise. Or at least, it seemed to. Vine might be getting new life thanks to another beloved video service. No, not YouTube. Another one. You know which one, you dirty rascal.

In a letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, Pornhub VP Corey Price offered to take Vine off Twitter's hands and into the right hands of millions all over the globe:

"We figure since Twitter has dropped (Vine) and is having significant layoffs, that you and your stakeholders could benefit from a cash infusion from the sale of Vine. Not to mention we would be saving Vine gems like 'Damn Daniel,' 'Awkward Puppets' and many more."

According to CNET, Pornhub also vows to "restore Vine to its NSFW glory," adding that "six seconds is more than enough for most people to enjoy themselves." Uh, yeah, OK.

CNET points out that this very well could be a particularly cruel jab at Twitter, since Pornhub wrote a letter highlighting the company's recent financial hardships and shared it with a news organization, which isn't typically how most deals are made. But hey, you never know—maybe "Vine star" will mean something entirely different this time next year.
