Donald Trump has destroyed many things over the course of this election, and as Seth Meyers explained last night, that includes his wallet. The Orange One came into this campaign as a self-styled real estate mogul of billionaire proportions, but he also liked to think of himself—or for others to think of him—as a generous philanthropist and savvy businessman. While he covers his fair share, Meyers doesn't actually hit all of the business setbacks Trump has suffered. Soon after his kick-off press conference where he demonized Mexican immigrants as drug dealers and rapists, NBC tossed him off his own Apprentice franchise. They also kicked him to the curb with regard to Miss USA and Miss Universe.

But perhaps Meyers' most glaring omission is that no one who'd been exposed to Trump outside of a television screen thought he was a generous genius billionaire. He's been a public fool in New York for decades now—and not just when he's crashing charity benefits for children with AIDS and stealing an actual donor's seat.
