Dazed and Confused wonderkid turned rom-com superstar turned Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey is many things. But one thing he is not, it appears, is a YouTube sensation.

Mr. McC does in fact have a YouTube channel, but as a Redditor found and told the world last night, no one has been watching it—at least until last night. The video linked to in that Reddit post has a million views now, but three out of five of his other non-viral-hits have less than 100,000. His first video went up in September 2014. In it, he advocates for an organization providing clean water to homeless public school children:

Advocacy is actually a theme of the videos. Maybe they should get more views...

One thing that they all have in common is how they begin: "Hey everybody, McConaughey here." All, that is, except for the animated movie trailers he has also put up in the last six months, possibly to test the particulars of copyright law:

In fairness, he does star in the movies. I'm sure they're OK with it. Regardless, as so many of his so few videos are about advocacy for the less fortunate, we'll advocate for him this time: Go to Matthew McConaughey's YouTube channel and watch his YouTube videos. It's the least you can do.
