Yes, the first vote cast this Election Day was perfectly appropriate, in that it was an embarrassing disaster that everyone involved wanted no part of. Dixville Notch is a New Hampshire town with a tradition of voting obscenely early every Election Day, and this year was no different. To much fanfare—and media spectacle—this Dixville Notch-er tried to cast his vote shortly after midnight, only for the elections official to stuff him at the rim.
