Shortly after Apple committed headphone port murder back in September, it also happened to reveal a slick, wireless solution - the AirPods.

While many were already sceptical of the toothbrush-head-looking buds, things got even worse when the Cupertino giant announced it would need "a little more time" before dropping them onto users.

The AirPods were originally set for a late October release, though anybody looking to pick up the devices on Apple's site have been met with a 'currently unavailable' tag since the delay.

Fear not, though, wireless-needy Apple fans, help could be drifting over the horizon.

According to German blog Apfelpage, an employee at Apple reseller Conrad has stated that the AirPod stock will arrive on 17 November, and will go on sale on 18-19 November.

In the always-hilarious attempt by Google Translate to figure out what's going on, Apfelpage writer Robert Tusch seemingly said: "Hello, I have just talked with an employee of the Conrad Online Store, since I am there on 14.10 the AirPods ordered and I wanted to cancel today.

"According to information from the employee, they have stockpiles from 17.11, I will then have them between 18-19 November."

Google Translator's version of Tusch's account also revealed how this would end the "long thirst" for the AirPods, which is actually a pretty accurate representation of the current struggle.

Currently, Conrad's site states that the AirPods will be available for delivery in eight weeks, though this is likely a placeholder until Apple drops some official news. After all, it would be a huge surprise if we didn't see people losing the AirPods down drains in time for Christmas.

Despite logical reason pointing to a release sooner rather than later, this info massively contradicts another recent report, which stated that the AirPods wouldn't be released until January.
