Dave Chappelle helped lead Saturday Night Live to its best ratings in three years, and his hosting duties helped everyone heal after a shocking election result. And he's not stopping there. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he's signed a deal with Netflix to air his first comedy specials in 12 years.

Two of the specials will be from his own personal vault; one was filmed in Austin in April 2015 and the other was filmed in Los Angeles in March of this year. The third will be a new original special, created just for Netflix. And all three will be released at the exact same time, sometime in 2017. Haven't binge-watched stand-up comedy on Netflix before? Now you will.

"Dave Chappelle is a legendary voice in comedy—searing, vital, and now more than ever, essential," Lisa Nishimura, VP of original documentary and comedy, said in a statement. "Dave's three new specials promise to be some of the most anticipated events in comedy, and we are honored he will mark his global return on Netflix."

This isn't the only major stand-up deal from Netflix lately. Chris Rock, who showed up in a sketch with Chappelle on SNL, recently signed a whopping $40 million deal for two new stand-up specials. So even though 2017 looks to be a gloomy year, at least we'll be able to laugh about it.
