Of all the drugs she's taken—the actor knows coke addiction when she sees it—Carrie Fisher said she would still do acid today, after so many years of sobriety. "I loved LSD," Fisher told Rolling Stone. "But it might be a little intense at my age. It was intense not at my age."

Fisher says LSD never got her into trouble like her experiments with heroin, cocaine, and other drugs. (There are no proven long-term effects of LSD.) She described her best LSD trip, taken with her then-husband Paul Simon:

It was probably in the desert. I had a lot of good ones. I had one where I was with Paul and my coat caught fire. We laughed at the flames. I had a lot of fun on acid and mushrooms and all that stuff. It was a part of my life when I was very young.

Fisher told RS that the drugs helped her "mute" her mood disorder—she is bipolar—and kept her from wanting to kill herself, though she acknowledged that her habits were risky to the point of suicidal. Fisher uses shock therapy now, which she says stopped her from being depressed when medication and therapy couldn't. And no, the shock therapy does not entail convulsions: "You get put to sleep when they do it. It's very easy and very effective."

Now, with a cringe-inducing juicy memoir and a rebooted Star Wars empire, Fisher says she's happier than she's ever been. Go acid!
