On Tuesday night, amid reports of being considered for Secretary of State, Mitt Romney met with US president-elect Donald Trump and incoming chief of staff Reince Priebus for dinner at Trump's New York hotel.

CNN's Jim Acosta, who was inside the restaurant, managed to livetweet the dinner before he was caught by Trump.

Acosta described their conversation as "very warm but animated." "Trump started talking first," he tweeted. "Now Romney chiming in...No sign of any animosity from campaign."

Interesting development, considering that Trump's team had previously said that Romney would only be considered for Secretary of State if he publicly apologised for railing against Trump during the campaign. Even more interesting that you can literally see Romney's turn-around within the past two months just by looking at his Twitter. From October:

Then, the day after Trump was elected:

And now, they're warmly rubbing elbows together under the roof of one of Trump's own hotels! Romney told reporters after the dinner that he has "increasing hope" that Trump could lead America to a "better future." "The people he's selected as members of his Cabinet are solid, effective, capable people," he told reporters.

But take a look at one of the outtakes from said shindig, and you'll see that Mitt is more uncomfortable than he's ever been in his entire life.
