Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt took turns throwing insults at each other, and the result was every bit as brilliant as you'd expect.

The stars were on Scott Mills' radio show on BBC Radio 1 today (December 12) for the Playground Insults game, with the pair taking digs at everything from acting skills to sex scenes.

And, unsurprisingly, the clip contains some fruity language.

It all started off innocently enough with jibes about their screen appearances such as Lawrence's turn in X-Men - "how does it feel being in the stupidest Marvel movie?" - before things started getting really personal.

"It's such a shame to meet somebody you thought you'd like," deadpanned Pratt, with Lawrence batting back: "You are so bad at acting that the cast of Saved by the Bell feel sorry for you."

But it wasn't only Saved by the Bell getting dragged into it: "I recently told you that you act like Adele sings. I hate Adele," joked Pratt.

It was after a dig at Pratt's age - "You are so old that your publicist is a registered nurse" - that Lawrence went in for the kill: "Before our sex scene, I took two Pepto-Bismol."

Even she had to concede defeat to this comeback though: "During our sex scene, I felt your dick rubbing into me."

The pair were on the show to promote their upcoming sci-fi Passengers, which sees them play two travellers on a 120-year journey through space when their sleep pods accidentally open too early - 90 years too early, in fact.

Last month, two different clips from the film were unveiled that see them defy gravity and get into a bit of trouble with closing doors.
