Michael Phelps has been on the cover of Sports Illustrated 12 times since his very first cover in 2004, so it seems appropriate that he posed for the magazine holding every single one of his Olympic medals (and somehow didn't fall down from the weight of them).

For the outtakes of SI's latest outtakes, even a decorated Olympic swimmer needed a little help holding all his, well, decorations.

The medals could swallow up his face.

The total numbers? 28 Olympic medals. That's 23 gold, three silver, and two bronze. Which, by the way, amounts to 18 pounds and four ounces. In other news, seems like Phelps has developed a whole new workout.
