Step aside 'gintern', because the latest entry for the 'best job in the world' competition comes in the shape of 'emoji translator': a job that requires someone fluent in emoji.

If you're looking for a career move and know absolutely everything there is to know about little yellow emoticons, a vacancy at Today Translations could be for you - after the London-based company told the BBC they're looking to hire someone to translate a diary from English to emoji.

The CEO of Today Translations Jurga Zilinskiene explained that they're hoping applicants will be able to explain the "cross-cultural misunderstandings in the use of the mini pictures, and compiling a monthly trends report."

Essentially, they're looking for someone who knows the right meaning behind all these emojis, right?

To apply for the job, hopefuls apparently have to take an online test that requires them to translate a series of emojis into English, to prove they really are fluent in emojis. Some of the questions require applicants to interpret emojis into words, while others ask you to translate words into emojis.

So far, over 30 people have applied for the job - so you better get your skates on if you're keen.
