Now that Andrea Bocelli has bowed out of performing at Donald Trump's inauguration, the president-elect only has one performer on his lineup: America's Got Talent contestant Jackie Evancho. But that doesn't mean his team hasn't been trying to book top talent. The Wrap reports that Celine Dion was approached for the job, but she turned it down.

According to the report, Trump friend Steve Wynn, who runs hotels in Las Vegas, had assured Trump that the French Canadian singer would be on board, but it turns out she refused the gig. (Dion currently performs regularly in a Las Vegas residency.) Wynn also reportedly tried to get country singer Garth Brooks to perform, and he turned it down too, even though Brooks has a multimillion-dollar contract with a Wynn hotel in Las Vegas. Previously, Elton John was rumoured to be performing, but he quickly shut that down.

Dion has not responded to the report, and the Trump inauguration team denied it was having problems booking artists for the big event. "First class entertainers are eager to participate in the inaugural events," Boris Epshteyn, communications director for the Presidential Inaugural Committee, said in a statement. "The inauguration as a whole will be an exciting and uniting celebration of freedom and democracy. We will be releasing further details at the appropriate time."
