After the shitshow of 2016, it kind of makes sense that the first internet optical illusion of the year would involved shitty sliced processed meat. But all snark aside, this one's pretty interesting.

Take a look at this picture, posted on Reddit by /u/MelvinDickpictweet (do you have any idea how difficult it is to hold back the snark here?).

It looks like blurry ham, right? No big deal. Except take a closer look, and you'll notice that the wood of the table, as well as the black ridges of the tray, are all in focus. The photo is in focus. The ham just looks trippy as hell.

So what's happening here? You can look at it closer, or you can go make yourself a sandwich, or you can go despair about the state of humanity. The options are endless.
