Flying first class is something that's probably on everyone's bucket list for some point in their lives - but what do you actually get for your money?

As Business Insider report, Qatar Airways, who fly long haul all over the world, offer full reclining beds, an a la carte menu and a bathroom that's likely to be nicer than your one at home - but beyond that, what does a £4,000 plane ticket entail? This might give you a rough idea:

The seats

Or should we say 'suites'. Qatar Airways's website details that the upper deck of the Airbus A380 jet features eight first-class 'suites' - ultra-wide seats that measure 23 inches wide, and are made from a soft woven fabric, leather and decorated with engraved copper. Quite nice, then.

The layout of the seats features two seats in the middle of the deck, separated by a sliding divider door that allows privacy if required.

The bed

Each seat converts to a fully flat 2.2 metre-long bed, complete with linen bed sheets, a proper pillow and a duvet.

The entertainment

If sleeping in the really fancy bed wasn't up your street, the 48cm personal video screen with a 3.8in touchscreen controller might be. The in-flight entertainment system offers 3,000 options including movies, TV box sets, audio, and games, and Daily Mail report there's even an section dedicated to Tom Cruise movies, should you require it.

The bathroom

Now we get onto the roses, luminated mirror and trés fancy sink in the two bathrooms (yup, two bathrooms for eight people), which the airline claims 'creates a spa-like warmth'. There's a changing room, too.

The bar (reporting the important news, people)

Towards the rear of the Airbus's upper deck, is a huuuuuge inflight lounge and bar, which the airline like to describe as 'a sanctuary in the sky'' which has been designed to feel like a 'private executive club'. There's a chandelier, extensive amount of booze and big leather seats.

The food

An a la carte menu offers a 'dine-on-demand menu' created by world-renowned famous chefs, and your dining experience comes fit with metal cutlery and luxury linen table cloths. And did we mention there's caviar?

Business Insider say starters on the menu include soup, salad or mezze, while main dishes are along the lines of roasted chicken breast with gnocchi and mustard and dill salmon.

The extras

As for the amenities, Qatar apparently offer a eather amenity bag from BRICS full with toiletry products, such as lip balm, facial mist, moisturiser, and night recovery cream, from Italian brand Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio.

Wifi is complimentary, as well as plug sockets and USB charging cables at every seat, while each passenger is given a set of exclusively-designed sleepwear by The White Company (fit with slippers, of course) to help them get comfy.
