There's a lot of '90s nostalgia in the air right now, which isn't surprising given the current state of the world. We've got a reality TV star over in the White House turning our country into a low-rent (and very high-stakes) reality show. We've got constant FOMO anxiety thanks to our inability to disconnect. And we've got the grim reaper hell-bent on taking away all of our favorite celebrities. Thankfully, Gap understands.

For a new limited-edition collection, the company has dipped into its archives to re-release some of our favorites from the Gen X decade. Called Archive Reissue, the collection features washed-out easy-fit denim, classic Gap hoodies, pleated khakis, and that most timeless of all Gap pieces, the pocket tee.

Along with the collection, there's a short film entitled "Generation Gap," which pays homage to some of the great Gap commercials of the past—including "Mellow Yellow," "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," and "Just Can't Get Enough." Directed by Kevin Calero, the film also features offspring of the stars of some of the famous '90s Gap ads. Rumer Willis, Jerry Hall's daughter Lizzy Jagger, Jam Master Jay's son TJ Mizell, Diana Ross's son Evan, and Kim Gordon's daughter Coco Gordon are all in the mix.

There's also an appearance by that ultimate '90s icon: Naomi Campbell.

"I was a 'Gap kid' so when the call came through to re-interpret the legendary '90s Gap campaigns, it was a dream come true," said Calero of the collection. "The '90s ads set the tone for a whole stream of fashion attitudes and moments. I don't think many other brands could pull off this sort of film with authenticity and heart."

Check out the photos, watch the video, and let your mind wander to that happy place. And then grab some pieces from the collection when they hits stores and gap.com on February 7.
