TV aficionados can get a heavy dose of fandom with their old fashioned if they pay one bar a visit in Manhattan, New York.

As first reported by Eater, The Lately is a 3,400-square-foot cocktail bar in the Meatpacking District that's expected to open in late March. Oh, and did I mention that its owners described it as "loosely modeled after an upstate cabin of yore, with a fireplace, playful wallpaper and modern flourishes—think Mad Men meets Twin Peaks"?

The masterminds behind the bar are LDV Hospitality and Den Hospitality. According to Eater, Den's Grant Wheeler "will be spearheading a cocktail program with both classic and new inventions":

"It will be split into three tiers — the first one with recognizable options like martinis and negronis, the second with some added ingredients like activated charcoal, and the third tier straying even further from the originals. Options in the last group include coconut avocado margaritas and frozen negronis using ube, a purple yam."

I can only imagine there will be plenty of black coffee and whiskey available.
