If you didn't already know, the 59th GRAMMY Awards went down in Los Angeles last night, and as you can probably guess, there were some pretty uncomfortable and awkward moments...

It was a big night for Adele, who scooped up five Grammy awards, and was named the second woman ever to win Album of the Year twice, for '25'. She broke the award in half on stage so she could give some to Beyonce - a great sign of friendship, but not so cool for the Grammys people.

2 | Weezer attended the awards for the first time, despite winning before

Rock band Weezer showed up to the ceremony for the first time, despite winning a gong in 2009 for Best Music Video for 'Pork and Beans'. Which wouldn't be so awkward, if their interview with E!'s Giuliana Rancic hadn't gone down quite so badly.

3 | Katy Perry insulted Britney Spears

Katy Perry seemingly made digs at Britney Spears in a number of interviews, after Ryan Seacrest asked her how taking a break from making music last year was. She responded: "That's called taking care of your mental health. Fantastic... I haven't shaved my head yet."

4 | Lady Gaga and Metallica's mic difficulties

Technical difficulties are always a bit of a worry during a big show, but Metallica and Lady Gaga styled it out like pros when one of the microphones stopped working mid-performance.

5 | The crowd booed when Greg Kurstin's speech got cut off

Greg Kurstin, who co-wrote 'Hello' with Adele, was cut-off before he'd really even begun speaking on stage by Solange Knowles' performance, and the crowd proceeded to boo.

6 | Frank Ocean's scathing Tumblr post

Frank Ocean wasn't at the Grammy awards, but instead took to Tumblr to explain why he had boycotted the awards - putting it down to his dissatisfaction with Taylor Swift's 1989 beating Kendrick Lamar's 'To Pimp A Butterfly' for Album of the Year 2016 - a wider comment on the awards' struggle to acknowledge modern music in all its diversity. He said the show in general 'puts people to sleep'.

7 | J-Lo during the Carpool Karaoke skit

Did she know the words? Did she want the mic?

8 | Mike Posner's red carpet interview

Mike Posner (on the right) and Blackbear dressed up as Jared Leto's The Joker for the ceremony, with the 'I Took A Pill In Ibiza' singer insisting on talking through his collaborator during interviews. Wait, what?

9 | John Travolta used the word 'bling'

It did not go down well.

10 | Cee Lo Green tried a little bit too hard
