Not even a stirring performance on stage at the Grammy Awards can guarantee an artist a spot at a Grammys after-party - just ask Ed Sheeran, who's been refused entry for FOUR YEARS IN A ROW.

Ryan Seacrest tackled that very topic when the singer appeared on On Air, asking Ed: "I was reading the New York Post this morning, and they said you tried to get into your label's after-party, and you couldn't get in?"

Ed replied: "Yeah, that's actually happened four years in a row, and that's not just my label's after-party, that's just after-parties in general.

"It's just - do you know what I don't get... it's like you walk into those parties and there's four musicians there and everyone else there are people from LA who didn't even go to the Grammys and just want a party to go to.

"So I went to Benny Blanco and Diplo's party and arrived there super-early, and suddenly 2,000 people turned up and I was like, 'I'm going'."

Ed revealed that he previously threw an EMAs after-party, but had told guests no bodyguards or entourages were allowed entry.

"I was just saying off air, I did a party at the EMAs in Milan and my rule for the party was no-one was allowed to bring bodyguards or an entourage," he recalled. "If you're an artist, just come as yourself.

"So [Justin] Bieber came by himself and played pool with Twenty One Pilots. And that was a nice thing, rather than Bieber hanging around with his entourage in the corner."
