A new study has revealed the cities in the world that offer the best quality of life - and if you live in London, you may or may not be surprised to read that it doesn't feature anywhere near the top.

Mercer, one of the world's largest HR consultancy companies has released its Quality of Living index for 2017, ranking the world's cities in order.

Lots of different metrics are taken into account to calculate the order, including public services and transportation, housing, schools and education, political and social environment and so on.

Of the 230 cities that Mercer ranked, the one that came out on top was Vienna in Austria, given the number one spot for the seventh consecutive year.
