Politics. It'll chew you up, spit you out and then, erm... use your image to promote airport improvements.

Yep, it seems Nick Clegg has fallen to to a similar fate as Ed Miliband, after a US airport used an old photo of him to promote maintenance improvements.

Whether or not this will sting as much as the results of 2015's general election we can't be sure, but at least Nick suits his new career as an unwitting stock photo model.

Sadly, Nick hasn't yet tweeted about his new-found American fame, but the Lib Dem press office has had other ideas.

"Royalties?" they tweeted, alongside the amazing original photo.

Somehow, this isn't the first time an image of a pretty famous British politician has been used in the most random of places over in the US.

Last December, former Labour leader Ed Miliband went from potential prime minister to the poster boy of a flu epidemic.

A photo of Ed blowing his nose – hey, at least it wasn't that bacon sandwich pic – was used by NBC's Nightly News programme as part of a feature on the upcoming cold and flu season.
