The upcoming thriller takes place in Civil War-era Virginia and stars Kidman alongside Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning at Miss Martha Farnsworth Seminary for Young Ladies. Kidman, who plays the headmistress, takes in Colin Farrell as a wounded Union soldier at their door. However, when sexual tension grows and rivalries develop, things take a turn for the bloody—and not because of the war.
"I haven't really done a genre film," Coppola told Entertainment Weekly back in February. "It was fun to figure out how to approach that but still [keep the film] in my style, and to have this kind of beautiful, dreamy world that I like — but with a plot!"
