Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff's much-anticipated reunion gig finally has an official date.

The musical duo will reunite on Sunday 27 August on stage at the LIVEWIRE Festival 2017 in Blackpool, which takes place over the August bank holiday weekend.

Here's what Will had to say about it all over on Facebook:

The Jacksons will also feature at the festival, headlining on Friday, before the biggest pop names of the 1980s – including Jason Donovan and Pete Waterman's Hit Factory – take over on Saturday.

"We can't wait to bring Will Smith & DJ Jazzy Jeff, The Jacksons, Jason Donovan and more to Blackpool," said a LIVEWIRE spokesperson, promising a "fabulous weekend of music".

As well as a trip down to Blackpool, Jazzy Jeff and Will Smith are also rumoured to be performing at this year's Glastonbury.

Last year the iconic duo were rumoured to be heading to Worthy Farm, and quite frankly it was devastating when that never happened.

"We had interest in Glastonbury last year. Whenever the decision comes down, I'm there," Jazzy Jeff told Bang Showbiz at the time.

"The biggest part of us doing this [reuniting] is the clearing of the schedule. I tour about 180 days out of the year but he makes movies, so it's more on his side of having to clear a schedule for us to be able to rehearse and go on the road.

"Sometimes it gets a little hard with him being one of the biggest movie stars in the world to free up his time. He absolutely positively wants to do this. The funny thing is, he made the announcement before he even told me."
