"Just saw the GN show fucking hell bruv you have seriously lost the plot man im worried dermot looks worried for you also we got the power," exclaimed Liam's tweet.

He wasn't the only one surprised at music's newest potential bromance. Viewers of The Graham Norton Show were pretty much floored by the whole thing.

They performed a live rendition of 'We Got the Power', a track from the latest Gorillaz album Humanz, which features Noel on backing vocals.

If all of this has got you beating your chest for more Gorillaz then you're in luck – the band is hosting its own miniature festival called Demon Dayz, which will be held at Dreamland amusement park in Kent on 6 June.

The group will also be touring North America for the first time in years as well as doing five dates here in the UK.

Will Noel will be putting in an appearance at any of those gigs? Don't rule it out now.
