It was announced well over a year ago that Arrested Development's fifth season was in the works, but the lack of any actual, y'know, episodes had fans a bit worried that something was keeping it from happening.

Well, it looks like all the pieces are finally in place as Jason Bateman, who plays main character Michael Bluth, has revealed he's not only officially signed for another run, but it's likely to start filming sooner rather than later.

The actor took to his Twitter to say: "Look very probable I'm going to put some miles on the Stair Car this summer.

"Just officially signed on to more ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT today."

We'll forgive him for writing 'look' instead of 'looks' since this is the most concrete piece of Arrested Development news we've had in ages.

Since the announcement of season five, we've had star David Cross talk about the difficulty of bringing it back because so many companies are involved (and busy actors), and that he wants it to return to the style of the first three seasons.
