A new trademark application by Nintendo suggests that a real-life Mario Kart attraction could be on the way.

As reported by Gamespot, Nintendo recently submitted a trademark application for "Super Nintendo World" to USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office). Presumably this is the name of the theme parks it's constructing in partnership with Universal Studios.

The application lists the various goods and services that could be associated with the name, including "management or arrangement of kart racing", as well as "organization, management or arrangement of motorcycle events and other events with vehicles".

The latter part sounds more like some kind of parade, but the former would be kart racing in a Nintendo-themed park.

Other services, like "rental of toys" and "rental of masquerade costumers" are also listed, as well as provision for arcades and consoles on site.

None of this guarantees that the above services will feature in the final product, but it does show that Nintendo is considering those options.

Initially Nintendo had announced a partnership just with Universal Studios Osaka, but last November it was announced that both Hollywood and Orlando Universal parks will also have Mario-themed attractions.

Each of those parks will open dedicated Nintendo areas over the coming years featuring "expansive, immersive and interactive" experiences.
