Poor old Jeremy Hunt. It seems like barely a day goes by that someone mispronounces his name in the most devastating way possible – and today is a bumper day surname slip-ups.

Earlier the BBC news correspondent Ellie Price was on camera talking about whether the politician would be staying on as health secretary in the wake of the general election (which he ultimately would go on to do) when the apparent c-word gaffe went down.

See the blunder for yourself in the clip below:

"Yeh we are waiting to hear from Jeremy c**t, Jeremy Hunt..." she says.

Incredibly it wasn't the only time in the same day that the unfortunate slip of tongue was made, as a Sky news presenter seemed to make exactly the same mistake.

"It looks like Jeremy Hunt is going to be coming out with that NHS pin on his jacket," says Claudia-Liza Armah, with the 'Hunt' sounding suspiciously sweary.

The same thing has notably been happening since Radio 4 presenter James Naughtie made the blunder on the Today programme back in 2010 – which was hilariously followed the same day by Andrew Marr inadvertently repeating the mistake when recounting his colleague's error.

Naughtie said at the time: "We know from emails that some of you thought it was funny, and others were very offended. I'm very sorry to those of you who thought it wasn't what you wanted to hear over your breakfast. Neither did I."
