While trying to fill a 72-hour livestream to promote her latest album Witness earlier this week, Katy Perry strayed into the provocative area of ranking her former lovers according to their skills in the bedroom.
Well, as it turns out, one of those lovers is unhappy about his standing in the "sex Olympics", after she rated John Mayer and Orlando Bloom higher than him.
An embittered Diplo soon took to Twitter – where else? – to set the record straight. "I don't even remember having sex," he claimed. Awkward.
Luckily for Katy, something appeared to jog Diplo's memory and he decided to spin the story, taking whatever victory he could from it. "I won the bronze medal in sex Olympics," he boasted.
It was James Corden that cajoled the revelation out of Katy during the livestream, with the singer trying to lessen the wound with positive words about all three exes.
"They're all amazing lovers and I would have sex with all of them after I get out of this place," she explained, which is the kind of diplomatic response we can get behind.
