Iggy Azalea has just announced a collaboration with arch rival Azealia Banks, whose previous correspondence with Iggy was a threat to kill her on Twitter.

After six long years of of slagging each other off on social media over issues such as race, music and nose jobs, the pair seem to have finally put their beef behind them.

Iggy confirmed that she and Azalea will team up for a track on Iggy's upcoming album Digital Distortion, declaring on Snapchat: (via EW): "Public Service Announcement, Azealia is going to be on DD. We are collaborating.

"Burn your wigs now or preserve them in your freezer for release day."

Defending her decision to work with Azealia on Twitter, the Fancy singer went on:"I don't expect you guys to understand why I would collaborate with someone who has publicly said they hope I die.

"This has been something extremely negative for so long, if there is a way to make it positive and also be creative together, Im here for it.," Iggy continued to explain to fans on Twitter.

Last year, after Iggy said she "still hated" Azalea during an interview with Elle Canada, responding to Azalea's previous criticism that she had kept "silent" on "black issues".

"I think the Azealia Banks thing is what really started it all," she told the publication. "We don't like each other on a personal level, and that has gone on for many years — before the Black Lives Matter incident happened.

"So when I dismissed her, people started to think that I dismissed the whole movement, but I wasn't trying to dismiss Black Lives Matter — I was trying to dismiss her because it's our personal s**t.

"Even though I still hate Azealia Banks, I wish I had said it in a way that didn't make people think I was oblivious to the movement."

This prompted Azalea to kick off on her Twitter page - which has since been suspended after she launched a homophobic and racist attack on Zayn Malik - posting: "Matter of fact. . Let me just kill this bitch."

Lovely stuff.
