Tesla has received at least 400,000 reservations (that we know of) for its affordable all-electric sedan, the Model 3. Starting at $35,000 (£27,000), it's a car that people are really, really excited about.

Elon Musk, the company's CEO, announced the completed production of the first Model 3 in typical Musk fashion: he tweeted out a couple of photos of the car late Saturday night.

The first 30 cars are scheduled to be delivered to customers later this month. The Model 3 will feature a sparse dashboard—nothing except a mounted touchscreen. Musk has yet to share photos of the inside of the completed Model 3.

One thing is clear: the car definitely won't have a regular ol' speedometer. And don't ask him for one.
