Barbecue season – it's arrived. Bringing with it the inevitably charred Richmond sausages, piles of unused burger buns, and the potential of giving all of your friends and family food poisoning.

Anyway, on today's Good Morning Britain, Piers Morgan opened up about the time his burger "got spiked" at a BBQ.

While welcoming guest Shaun Ryder to the ITV show, the host recalled the time the Happy Mondays boys left him feeling "excited" for eight hours after spiking his burger at a Brazilian BBQ.

He's not had it easy. In other news, Piers recently revealed to Digital Spy that he's had ISIS death threats.

"I was told I was going to get beheaded by ISIS," he told us. "But I like getting death threats like that because the people tend to misspell 'you're'.

"They tell me, 'Your going to be beheaded by ISIS' – so I correct their grammar and the next thing you know, the tweet is deleted.

"My favourite thing is when you reply, then go onto their account and it says 'account deleted'.

"I don't get scared of death threats on Twitter. It's not the people who threaten you that you should be worried about, it's the people who are quiet about it! So no, it doesn't upset me."
