Golf clubs have a bad rap these days, as noted country club magnate and reality star Donald Trump has become our rather embattled president. So maybe it's time for a new golf club dynasty to begin, run by the infinitely more lovable Bill Murray.

Murray and his family are planning to open a new Caddyshack-themed restaurant in their hometown of Chicago. Bill's brother Brian Doyle-Murray wrote Caddyshack, and based the script off his own experience working as a caddy. The Murrays opened their first golf restaurant in Florida and will follow it up with a location in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, near Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.

As a press release notes:

In planning for Murray Bros. Caddyshack, we wanted to create a restaurant that captures our family's love for the game and present it in a way that appeals to everyday golfers and families. Golf is evolving from its exclusionary practices in favor of a more open and fun-loving attitude, which can be seen in everything from today's hip golf fashion to more eclectic golf fans and unique venues at golf tournaments. I'm glad the rest of the world is catching up.

This club, which is set to open in December, will also feature a golf simulation experience area, which hopefully means using plastic explosives shaped like squirrels and rabbits to kill a gopher.
