After all the shit that Sansa Stark has been through, we were finally looking forward to seeing a triumphant Sansa when Game of Thrones returns.

But sadly, it's not going to be quite so simple.

Yep, Sophie Turner has admitted that Sansa will become a little "unlikeable" during the upcoming season, and to be honest, we're gutted.

In an interview with ELLE, Sophie opened up about her character's journey throughout season 7, revealing that the Stark will struggle with power.

"I think she might be a little more unlikeable, because she finally has this power, and she doesn't really know what to do with it, and she really falters," she admitted.

"It's really interesting to see her like that, because the past few seasons, she's been so strong."

Although we know that Sansa has "no desire" to sit on the Iron Throne – and who can blame her? – we've still been told to expect a power struggle between her and brother Jon Snow.

Last week, Kit Harington revealed that there was "definite tension" between Jon and Sansa right from the off.

"There are the same problems – she questions his decisions and command; he doesn't listen to her," the actor explained.

"But as far as where that goes or takes them or how dark it can get, we'll see. It gets past sibling squabbling, it gets into two people power struggling."

Game of Thrones finally returns to Sky Atlantic on Monday, 17 July in the UK.
