Taylor Swift has perfected the art of walking backwards to avoid the paparazzi, but surely neatly folding yourself into a suitcase is next level?
The speculation all began when Splash News, posted photos of people moving stuff out of Swift's apartment. But as first noticed by the Irish radio station Spin 1038, the photo was captioned with a rather curious statement:
"Taylor Swift has been reportedly being transported in a huge suitcase from her Tribecca apartment into her truck. A fleet of cars including two large cadillacs and three suv's arrive at Tailor Swift's apartment in Tribecca to move a large suitcase from apartment to truck. Almost a dozen of Taylor Swift security guards were present to move this package carefully as Taylor Swift remains to be unseen for a long time."
And just in case you were wondering, here's a photo of Taylor Swift supposedly in that "huge suitcase".
As the misspelling of Tribeca in the statement might suggest, the whole thing seemed off. And it most certainly was; in a statement to Spin, a Splash News representative shared that the photographer who had provided the pictures was "not really a regular photographer that we use" and that, well, "The report stated it as a fact, which we actually don't know. How could we?"
It wasn't long before Splash News heard word from Taylor's people, and the photo is being retracted. So maybe she didn't? But you know what?
