At 35, Gatlin's the oldest man to ever win a running world championship in any event except the marathon, which would probably be a much bigger deal if he hadn't been suspended for testing positive for amphetamines in 2001 and testosterone in 2006. Gatlin is deeply unpopular among track and field fans, who booed him roundly during Saturday's race. In fact, tonight's medal ceremony has been rescheduled to avoid Gatlin being booed on the podium.
