Ever wondered what Kim Jong-Un is really like behind closed doors?

Well, Good Morning Britain viewers were given a glimpse into the North Korean leader's private life earlier today (September 6) during an interview with Dennis Rodman.

The pair are probably the unlikeliest BFFs ever but have managed to strike up quite the friendship.

"It comes from our mutual love of basketball," Dennis explained. "I think that's the key to everything in this world. Well, basketball and music. That's a great connection for anyone in the world, but it just so happens it's me and him."

Apparently, Kim is a huge fan of Dennis' old team the Chicago Bulls, and that's what led to the leader inviting him to North Korea.

"We have such a good time whenever I go over there," the star continued. "We sing karaoke together, we go horse riding, we go skiing, we do lots of cool things.

"But we hardly ever talk about politics and that's the great thing about it."

During the interview, Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid pointed out that Kim is seen by many as a cruel dictator that regularly threatens to "incinerate America".

However, Dennis said that couldn't be further from the truth.

"Every time I see him, he's always calm, he's always smiling, especially with his family," the star continued. "The things going on on TV, and you know potentially a war [or] something like that, but you see him sit at a table – he's just like anyone else to me, he's always laughing, smiling, talking to his people, that's it."

Dennis then commented that his aim is to introduce American sports to North Korea and he hopes that sport could potentially bring the two countries closer together.

"I've taken a lot of people over to North Korea," he added. "When I took some American [basketball] players with me last, it was so emotional. The people in the crowd were stood for 15 minutes, clapping and shouting 'USA' in their language.

"People don't see that kind of thing on TV though. But this is what I'm all about; unity through sport."

At the end of the interview, Piers asked Dennis if he could tag along on his next visit to North Korea to meet the leader.

Much to his surprise, the star reassured him that he had a deal. We guess we'll watch this space...

Good Morning Britain is on ITV, weekdays at 6am.
