Tom Hanks has joined James Corden for a sing-song – and as it was Tom Hanks, they couldn't just chuck him in any old car.

Nope, as part of XQ Super School Live, Tom picked James up in a school bus (and said he looks like a "big baby") before the pair sang Kim Wilde's 'Kids in America' – with a bunch of American kids.

The XQ special, which "invited the public to help rethink the future of American high schools", featured loads more artists and celebrities, including U2, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, JJ Abrams, Samuel L Jackson and Mahershala Ali.

Last month, Game of Thrones' Stark sisters Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner belted out Justin Bieber's 'Sorry' and Miley Cyrus's banger 'Wrecking Ball' on Apple's Carpool Karaoke series.

Also having fun behind the wheel recently were John Legend and Alicia Keys, as well as Seth MacFarlane and Ariana Grande singing Ariana's greatest hits.

James Corden's Carpool Karaoke: The Series recently hit Apple Music, with new episodes available exclusively to Apple Music subscribers in over 100 countries.

Plans to extend the popular Late Late Show segment were first announced in July 2016, as part of Apple's venture into original programming.
