Brad Pitt Is Opening A £1 Billion Resort In Croatia

The actor is adding hotelier to his CV

Actor Brad Pitt is adding the title of hotelier to his CV.

The father of six has settled on the small town of Zablace in Croatia for a new resort he plans to build, which will include a luxury hotel, golf course, restaurants, and shops, the Telegraph reports. The development is estimated to cost $1.5 billion (about £1.1 billion).

Nikola Bašić, a Croatian architect working on the project, joined the actor on a site tour last week. He's known for creating Sea Organ, in Croatia's Zadar, a huge staircase sculpture that plays music created by waves as they flow through its subterranean tubes.

The plan reportedly includes building schools and a clinic, too. Pitt also toured the Zablace's Unesco-designated St. James Cathedral.

While no timeline has been announced for the project Swiss investment fund TFI Holding has reportedly already invested $70 million (about £50 million) toward the idea, so it may be possible to stay at a Brad Pitt-owned hotel sooner than you'd think.
