Kate Winslet and James Cameron are celebrating the upcoming 20th anniversary of Titanic by reuniting for the upcoming Avatar sequel.

Director Cameron has revealed that he and Kate have been trying to reunite ever since 1997's Titanic, which became the highest-grossing movie of all time (at least until Avatar came along in 2009).

"Kate and I have been looking for something to do together for 20 years, since our collaboration on Titanic, which was one of the most rewarding of my career," Cameron told Deadline.

"I can't wait to see her bring the character of Ronal to life."

So, Oscar-winning Winslet joins returning cast members Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang in the sequel which is still a good three years away.

Fear the Walking Dead's Cliff Curtis is another new addition to the franchise, along with the young actors who will make up the next generation of Na'vi.
