Channel 4's hard-hitting drama Top Boy could be making a return thanks to streaming service Netflix.

The series, which took place on a Hackney estate and followed the lives of people caught up in drug dealing and street gangs, originally aired in 2011 and had a second series in 2013.

Now, RadioTimes reports that Netflix is set to announce another two series of the show, with writer Ronan Bennett and star Ashley Walters returning.

Walters teased a third run on his Instagram back in April, in a video that no-one has made him take down, strangely:

'Started from the Bottom' star Drake is a big fan of the show, previously tweeting that Walters was "too incredible", adding: "Everybody on Top Boy gives such incredible performances. That show is just too good."

Since then, the rapper has been linked to a revival of the show in some way, shape or form.

Netflix previously picked up another Channel 4 show with Black Mirror and brought it back to great success with series three.

Now, the dark sci-fi is returning for a highly-anticipated fourth run, which writer and creator Charlie Brooker says will be even more "out there".

Excitingly, it may even include sequels to previous episodes from both the Netflix and Channel 4 runs.

Black Mirror will return to Netflix in the near future.
