The latest round of drama between Wiley and Dizzee Rascal is now over, following the death of Wiley's friend and fellow grime artist Major Ace.

The two were exchanging insults on Twitter earlier this month, and although things escalated pretty quickly, it looks like it's been put to bed for now.

Suggesting an end to his long rivalry with the Mercury Prize-winning star, Wiley wrote: "I don't ever want to argue with @DizzeeRascal ever again. Nothing but respect I have for Dizzee.#ThatsIt".

Dizzee has not yet publicly responded, but fans suspect that the death of Major Ace – also known as Luke Monero – had something to do with Wiley's tweet.

Major Ace, a member of the '00s group Pay As U Go Cartel and widely considered to be a pioneer of UK grime, passed away yesterday (October 8) from a brain tumour.

Paying tribute to the artist on Twitter, Wiley wrote: "I saw bare missed calls this morning and I knew something was not right. The man who loved Pay as u go the most passed away. Major Ace #RIP."

"Luke Monero you be will missed brother. Rest In Peace brother."

Wiley and Dizzee have been feuding for over 14 years, and they had another war of words on Twitter just a couple of weeks ago after they began making digs at each other's musical superiority, with Dizzee calling himself "the God" of grime.
